Graarrgh.
I'm assuming what remains of this place's viewers (yes, all two of you) have a way to acquire songs within minutes of being given a title (*cough*Limewire*cough*), so mleh.
Run a search for Orange and Lemons' "Pinoy Ako," the theme song to Pinoy Big Brother. Get it, then search for The Care's "Chandelier." Play the songs and marvel at the originality.
And I thought we couldn't get any lower after the old "Itsumo" fiasco. At least those scumbags just stole a couple lines of lyrics. These schmucks stole an entire tune. Dice and K9 still suck, though. Bunch of talentless hacks.
Orange and Lemons cries foul! - Manila Bulletin (warning: possible exposure to group members' inflated egos) Music writer blows whistle against Orange and Lemons - Manila Bulletin
"Ipakita sa mundo kung ano ang kaya mo..." Oh, the irony. Show the world what? That we're a bunch of shameless plagiarists who copy everyone else's ideas and claim them as our own? Yeah, that's definitely something to be proud of.
They even have the gall to say that only the guitar intro was the only thing similar, when listening to both songs even once proves otherwise. What, do they think people are THAT stupid to be fooled so easily?... Wait, nevermind, they probably are.
And people wonder why I'm automatically wary about anything that comes out of our music/film industry.
In other news, we've moved to a new house, and I am now technically living in my parents' basement. I don't mind much, because soon I'm going to be a geek living in my parents' basement... with broadband. Whoo.
